T3A Solutions App Privacy Policy
1. About this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how T3A Solutions (“T3A Solutions”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in applications developed and published by T3A Solutions.
It applies to T3A Solutions applications that link to this Privacy Policy, unless a particular application has a separate privacy policy or additional privacy notice.
Some applications may contain information that is personal or sensitive, including health records, medication information, sleep information, financial records, smoking records, client information, photographs, audio recordings or documents. The fact that an application stores such information does not necessarily mean that T3A Solutions collects or has access to it.
Where information remains solely on the user's device, T3A Solutions does not receive, view or control that information.
2. Who is responsible for your information?
For personal information that is actually received and processed by us, the data controller is:
3. Information stored locally by our applications
Depending upon the purpose and features of an individual application, information stored locally on a user's device may include:
- names, profiles or user-entered identifying information;
- medication, health, symptom, pain, mood, sleep or wellbeing information;
- smoking or other lifestyle records;
- financial information entered by the user, such as income, expenditure, transactions, purchases or budgets;
- client, customer or contact records entered by the user;
- appointments, schedules, reminders and calendar information;
- photographs, images or scanned documents;
- receipts and other documents;
- locally recorded audio;
- sensor or movement information;
- notes, diary entries, dreams or other user-created content;
- reports generated by an application;
- application settings and preferences;
- locally generated usage history required for the application's functionality;
- imported data from another application or file where the user chooses to perform an import; and
- backups created by the user or by an optional backup function.
Unless otherwise clearly stated within the relevant application, this information is stored locally and is not automatically transmitted to T3A Solutions.
The user remains in control of locally stored information and can normally edit or delete it using the application's facilities, clear the application's data through their device settings, or remove it by uninstalling the application.
Some applications may also provide specific retention controls, such as automatically deleting recordings after a period selected by the user.
4. Sensitive information
Some T3A Solutions applications are specifically designed to allow users to record information that may be considered particularly sensitive.
This may include:
- health and medical information;
- medication records;
- mental wellbeing information;
- sleep information;
- microphone recordings;
- financial information;
- smoking or lifestyle information; and
- information concerning another person that the user has chosen to enter into an application.
Our general design principle is that sensitive information should remain on the user's device wherever possible.
T3A Solutions does not operate a central database of users' medication records, health records, financial records, sleep recordings or similar locally stored information unless a particular application explicitly states otherwise.
5. Device permissions
Individual applications may request Android or other device permissions where those permissions are necessary for a feature selected by the user.
Depending on the application, these may include access to:
- notifications;
- microphone;
- camera;
- photographs or media;
- files and document storage;
- motion or other device sensors;
- alarms and reminders;
- location; or
- other device functions required by a particular feature.
A permission is requested only where the application requires it for relevant functionality.
For example, an application containing optional sleep sound monitoring may require microphone access in order to record sound events. An application allowing receipt scanning may require camera access.
Where practical, optional sensitive features are disabled until the user chooses to enable them.
Granting an operating-system permission does not by itself mean that information is transmitted to T3A Solutions.
Permissions can normally be withdrawn through the device's settings, although doing so may prevent the relevant feature from functioning.
6. Audio, photographs and other recordings
Some applications may allow the user to make audio recordings, take photographs, import images or create other media.
Unless specifically stated otherwise:
- recordings and images are stored locally;
- T3A Solutions does not automatically receive them;
- they are not used for advertising;
- they are not used to train artificial intelligence systems by T3A Solutions; and
- the user controls whether they are retained, deleted, exported, backed up or shared.
Users should ensure that their use of recording features complies with applicable laws and respects the privacy of other people who may be recorded.
7. Internet access and optional online features
Although many T3A Solutions applications are designed to operate primarily or entirely offline, some applications may provide optional features requiring internet access.
Examples may include:
- retrieving publicly available information;
- searching an external database;
- retrieving reference material;
- checking online content;
- opening or displaying content supplied by another service;
- verifying purchases;
- downloading documents or resources; or
- communicating with a service deliberately selected by the user.
When an online feature is used, information necessary to perform the request may be transmitted to the relevant service.
For example, a search term may need to be sent to an information provider in order to return search results.
The particular service may also receive technical information normally associated with an internet connection, such as an IP address, as part of providing its service.
Where practical, the application will make the nature of an optional online feature clear to the user.
Third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.
8. Artificial intelligence and external writing services
Some applications may provide features that help a user prepare information for use with an external artificial intelligence or writing service.
Where an application provides a copy, export or share function, the information remains local until the user deliberately chooses to send, paste or share it elsewhere.
T3A Solutions does not receive information simply because the user copies text from one of our applications.
If a user chooses to send information to a service such as an artificial intelligence provider, email application, messaging application or other third-party service, the subsequent processing of that information is governed by the privacy terms of the service selected by the user.
If a future T3A Solutions application directly integrates an external artificial intelligence service and sends information to that service automatically as part of a selected feature, the application will provide appropriate information about that processing before or at the point it occurs.
9. Sharing and exporting information
Applications may allow users to export or share information, reports, documents, text, photographs or other data.
Sharing is generally initiated by the user through functions such as:
- Share;
- Export;
- Copy;
- Save;
- Open with; or
- the Android or operating-system sharing interface.
When the user chooses another application or service as the destination, T3A Solutions does not control what that third party subsequently does with the information.
Users should review the privacy practices of the service with which they choose to share information.
10. Backups and restoration
Some T3A Solutions applications provide backup and restoration facilities.
Backups may be:
- stored locally on the user's device;
- stored on removable storage;
- saved to a location selected by the user; or
- stored using a cloud or storage provider chosen by the user where that functionality is available.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, backups are not uploaded to or stored on servers operated by T3A Solutions.
Where a user selects a third-party cloud or storage service, information is handled by that provider according to its own terms and privacy policy.
Users are responsible for protecting backup files and for considering whether the location they choose to store them is appropriate for the sensitivity of the information contained within them.
11. Information imported from other applications
Some applications may allow users to import information from another application, service or file.
The import occurs at the user's request.
Once imported, the information is handled according to the privacy arrangements of the T3A Solutions application into which it was imported.
T3A Solutions does not obtain ownership of imported information.
12. Google Play and application purchases
Some T3A Solutions applications may offer an optional purchase, support purchase or other paid feature through Google Play or another authorised application store.
Payment information such as full credit or debit card details is handled by the relevant store or payment provider and is not provided directly to T3A Solutions where the store handles the transaction.
The application, T3A Solutions and/or the relevant developer console may receive limited transaction information necessary to recognise or manage a purchase, such as:
- the product purchased;
- purchase status;
- transaction or order identifiers;
- purchase time;
- purchase tokens; or
- information necessary to restore an entitlement.
This information may be used to confirm a purchase, enable purchased functionality, restore a previous purchase, prevent fraudulent use, provide purchase-related support, or meet legal, accounting or platform requirements.
Google Play and other application stores process purchases under their own privacy policies and terms.
13. Advertising and analytics
Unless a particular application clearly states otherwise, T3A Solutions applications covered by this policy:
- do not sell personal information;
- do not rent personal information;
- do not trade personal information;
- do not use personal information for third-party behavioural advertising; and
- do not contain third-party advertising or behavioural analytics systems.
Application stores and operating-system providers may independently collect technical, installation, performance or diagnostic information as part of providing their platforms.
T3A Solutions may have access through developer tools to information made available by those platforms, such as aggregated installation information, crash information, application version information or purchase information.
Such platform processing is governed by the relevant provider's privacy terms.
14. Information received when you contact us
If you contact T3A Solutions by email or another support channel, we may receive information including:
- your name;
- email address;
- the contents of your message;
- the name and version of the application involved;
- device or operating-system information you choose to provide;
- screenshots;
- diagnostic information; and
- files or other information you deliberately attach.
We use this information to answer your enquiry, provide technical support, investigate problems, improve or correct our applications, respond to complaints and maintain appropriate business records.
Please avoid sending sensitive health, financial or other highly confidential information to support unless it is genuinely necessary for us to understand your enquiry.
15. Our lawful bases for processing
Where T3A Solutions itself processes personal information, the lawful basis will depend on the circumstances.
It is necessary to provide a service or perform a contract
For example, dealing with a purchase or providing functionality the user has requested.
We have a legitimate interest
For example, responding to support enquiries, maintaining application security, preventing fraud, correcting software faults and maintaining appropriate business records, provided those interests do not override the individual's rights.
The user has given consent
Where processing relies upon consent, the user may withdraw that consent.
Processing is required by law
For example, where we are required to retain transaction or accounting information.
Where special-category personal information is actually provided to T3A Solutions, we will only process it where an appropriate additional legal condition exists under applicable data protection law.
16. How long information is retained
Information stored locally
Information stored solely within an application remains there according to the application's functionality and the user's choices.
The user normally determines retention by editing or deleting records, changing application retention settings, clearing application data or uninstalling the application.
Backups
Backups stored in locations selected by the user remain under the user's control and are retained until the user or their chosen storage provider deletes them.
Support communications
Information sent directly to T3A Solutions is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was provided and for any legitimate support, security, legal, accounting or dispute-resolution requirements.
Information that is no longer reasonably required is deleted in accordance with our normal business practices.
Third-party services
Information processed by external providers is subject to their own retention policies.
17. Data security
T3A Solutions designs its applications with data minimisation and privacy in mind.
Measures may include:
- keeping information on the user's device rather than operating unnecessary remote databases;
- limiting permissions to features that need them;
- giving users control over deletion and retention;
- avoiding unnecessary tracking and analytics;
- avoiding advertising SDKs unless specifically disclosed;
- limiting transmission of information to that required for an online feature selected by the user; and
- using standard secure network protocols where information must be transmitted.
The security of locally stored information also depends on the security of the user's device.
Users are encouraged to use appropriate device security such as screen locks, passwords, PINs, biometrics and operating-system security updates, particularly where an application contains sensitive information.
No electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
18. Information about other people
Some applications may allow a user to enter information about clients, family members, customers, contacts or other people.
The user is responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate reason and, where required, permission to record or process another person's information.
T3A Solutions does not automatically receive information about those individuals merely because it is stored in the application.
19. Children and younger users
Our applications are not designed to collect personal information from children on behalf of T3A Solutions unless expressly stated for a particular application.
Some applications may nevertheless be suitable for use by families or younger users.
Where an application is specifically designed for, or directed towards, children and additional privacy requirements apply, appropriate additional disclosures and safeguards will be provided.
20. Automated processing and estimates
Some applications may automatically calculate statistics, identify patterns, provide estimates, generate reports or offer informational insights based upon data stored in the application.
Examples may include estimated sleep information, financial calculations, usage trends, identification suggestions or correlations between information recorded by a user.
Such functions are intended as informational or organisational tools.
T3A Solutions applications do not use automated processing to make decisions about users that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Health-related estimates and correlations are not medical diagnoses and should not be treated as substitutes for advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
21. Third parties
Depending upon the features deliberately used by the user, third parties involved in processing may include:
- Google Play or another application store;
- the user's device or operating-system provider;
- cloud or storage services chosen by the user;
- public information or database providers;
- content providers;
- email providers;
- artificial intelligence services selected by the user;
- applications selected through the device sharing interface; and
- other external services clearly associated with a feature selected by the user.
T3A Solutions does not sell user information to these organisations.
Where a third party independently determines how it processes information, its own privacy policy applies.
22. International processing
Information stored solely on the user's device is not internationally transferred by T3A Solutions.
Where an external provider is deliberately used, that provider may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom.
Where T3A Solutions itself uses a service provider to process personal information internationally, any transfer will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection requirements.
Users should also consult the privacy information of any third-party service they choose to use.
23. Your data protection rights
Under UK data protection law, individuals may have rights including:
- the right to be informed about how their personal information is used;
- the right to request access to personal information;
- the right to request correction of inaccurate information;
- the right to request deletion in certain circumstances;
- the right to request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
- the right to object to certain processing;
- the right to data portability in applicable circumstances; and
- the right to withdraw consent where processing is based upon consent.
These rights apply to personal information actually processed by T3A Solutions.
If information exists only on your own device, T3A Solutions cannot access, retrieve, correct or delete it for you because we do not possess it. Such information can instead be managed using the application's controls or the device's application-management facilities.
Requests concerning personal information held by T3A Solutions can be made to support@t3asolutions.com.
We may need to take reasonable steps to confirm the identity of a person making a data protection request.
24. Account deletion
Most T3A Solutions applications are designed not to require a T3A Solutions user account.
Where no account exists, there is consequently no remote T3A Solutions account requiring deletion.
Local profiles created inside an application are normally stored on the device and can be removed using the application's facilities or by deleting the application's stored data.
If a future application provides creation of a remote T3A Solutions account, that application will provide an appropriate method for requesting deletion of the account and associated personal information.
25. Complaints
If you have a concern about how T3A Solutions has handled personal information, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate:
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Current ICO contact and complaints information is available at:
www.ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/
26. Changes to this Privacy Policy
Applications and privacy requirements can change over time.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:
- new application functionality;
- changes to the way information is handled;
- new services or integrations;
- changes in legal or regulatory requirements; or
- improvements to the clarity of this policy.
The date shown at the top of this policy will be updated when changes are made.
Where a change materially affects how an application handles personal information, additional notice will be provided where reasonably appropriate.
27. App-specific information
This is a master privacy policy covering T3A Solutions applications that link to it.
Not every category of information or feature described in this policy is used by every T3A Solutions application.
For example, an application that does not use the microphone does not collect microphone information simply because microphone use is described in this policy.
An application's permissions, features, in-app explanations and application-store Data Safety information provide additional information about the specific data used by that application.
Where a particular feature requires additional information or consent, that information may be presented within the application at the point the feature is enabled or used.
28. Contact T3A Solutions
We welcome questions about how our applications handle information and aim to make our privacy practices clear and understandable.
